Born in Harrogate and raised in Knaresborough I'm a real Yorkshire chap. I developed a passion for videography and writing in school, went to Cumbria Institute of the Arts and completed a 3 year Media Production degree.
Whilst at university I met a girl, one from Lancashire (!) moved her over to Yorkshire and she is now my wife! We enjoy walks (and brews!) at National Trust properties, seeing family and friends and sharing our music and cinema passions with one another. It's great! We also had a little boy in 2013 who is incredible. The responsibility of being a father drives me to work even harder for my family (& play even more too!). We now live 'abroad' in Lancashire.
Work wise, my first real job was a seasonal one in a factory where I shifted boxes of tea around for 8 hour shifts. I then got a job at a BBC radio station when I was at university where I worked alongside presenters and producers as a broadcast assistant - I loved working in radio, combining my music journalism side with live entertainment was fantastic! After leaving university I started filming weddings independently and for a business which again, I loved, have a real talent for and something which I still enjoy. I was made redundant within 2 months from a video production agency before grabbing an administrator role which then turned into an internal communications and then a social media role. I then took the leap into sef employment. The rest they say is history.
My passion these days is totally the world of social. I still enjoy writing and filming things, but I think these past skills lend themselves to the social world. Engaging with people through social ways and means is great and I enjoy the setting up and strategy side of things as much as the conversation side. I'd love to work with you on bringing your business into the social realm or developing the sites you already have activated. Sound good? If you're still with me, I can't wait to hear from you!
This page is where you can find out a little more about me, the man behind the website. Everyone has a story to tell, so here's mine, if you're interested, which you're probably not. It's an abridged version...
